I got two emails this week – the first telling me that the entire series of The Wives of King David will be printed in Romanian! The second email said that Michal will be published in Afrikaans (a South African language.) Cool! They probably won’t come out for a while – even up to two years, but it’s awesome to see the books printed in words I can quote but can’t read. I hope readers of these new editions are blessed by the stories.
I finished the substantive edits on Bathsheba last week and will see page proofs some time in October. My new goal is to read through Sarai and try to determine if the story needs a complete overhaul or not. My critique partners may be getting a desperate call for help if that happens!
Fall weather appears to have found us, and people I talk to seem happy to be rid of the 90 degree weather. I love being able to open windows and feel the fresh breeze. I only hope we don’t have too cold a fall. It is still technically summer until next week!
