Sarai’s Cover!

I had a sneak peek at Sarai’s Cover about a month ago, but now that it is up online, I am free to share it here too! Doesn’t Revell do great work? The journey to this cover was a new experience than the previous Wives of King David covers. I got to see comps in different designs ahead of time and talk to the head of their design department about jewelry and headscarves and historical details for just the right look. What fun! I am SO pleased with the outcome!
Here’s the catalog blurb:

Sarai, the last child of her aged father, is beautiful, spoiled, and used to getting her own way. Even as a young girl, she is aware of the way men look at her, including her half brother Abram.

When Abram finally requests Sarai’s hand, she asks one thing–that he promise never to take another wife as long as she lives. Even her father thinks the demand is restrictive and agrees to the union only if Sarai makes a promise in return–to give Abram a son and heir. Certain she can easily do that, Sarai agrees. But as the years stretch on and Sarai’s womb remains empty, she becomes desperate to fulfill her end of the bargain–lest Abram decide that he will not fulfill his.

To what lengths will Sarai go in her quest to bear a son? And how long will Abram’s patience last?

Jill Eileen Smith thrilled readers with The Wives of King David series. Now she brings to life the strong and celebrated wives of the patriarchs, beginning with the beautiful and inscrutable Sarai.

March, 2012

This week I also received an email from my editor who will be diving into edits on Sarai very soon. So come mid-July, I will be working on her story again.

It’s a long process getting a book ready for print – and I am so grateful to you, my readers, for your patience! I hope this story blesses you – but in the meantime, if you haven’t yet read them, there are still The Wives of King David available!

Oh, and if you want to see more of the upcoming releases, check out Relz Reviews (scroll down to read them). My friend, Mesu Andrews has a new one on Solomon called Love’s Sacred Song and the cover on that one is gorgeous too!

Happy reading~
