In 2010, I did a lot of reading. Some were new releases, others were not, so my Top 10 list includes books from years past as well as some wonderful debuts! Here are my Top 10 for 2010 Christian novels. Below, see a list of five favorite non-fiction reads as well.

- The Shape of Mercy by Susan Meissner—On the way to the truth, will Lauren be able to break free from her own perceptions and see who she really is? Set in contemporary California and also during the 1600s Salem Witch Trials.
- The Last Jihad by Joel Rosenberg—The first page puts readers in the cockpit of a hijacked jet on a kamikaze mission into an American city—but it was written nine months before 9/11/01. Tomorrow’s Middle East headlines in startling realistic fiction.
- She Walks in Beauty by Siri Mitchell—As Clara Carter makes her debut, she realizes it’s not just her heart at stake–the future of her family depends on how she plays the game. Set in Gilded Age New York.
- The Silent Governess by Julie Klassen—Olivia Keene is fleeing her own secret. She never intended to overhear his. But now that she has, what is Lord Bradley to do with her? Set in 19th Century England.
- A Distant Melody by Sarah Sundin—A Distant Melody is the first book in the WINGS OF GLORY series, which follows the three Novak brothers, B-17 bomber pilots with the US Eighth Air Force stationed in England during World War II.
- Petra by T. L. Higley—Petra, the wondrous ancient city carved from the mountains of modern Jordan, is at the height of its glory in this gripping historical novel. Set in First Century A.D.
- Almost Forever by Deborah Raney—What started the fire that destroyed the dreams and futures of so many? Investigators are stumped. But someone knows the answer….Contemporary Women’s Fiction.
- Pearl in the Sand by Tessa Afshar—Can a Canaanite harlot who has made her livelihood by looking desirable to men make a fitting wife for one of the leaders of Israel? Biblical fictional story of Rahab.
- Within My Heart by Tamera Alexander—Widow Rachel Boyd struggles to keep her ranch afloat and provide for her two young sons, though some days it feels as though her efforts are sabotaged at every turn. Set in Colorado Territory late 1800s.

- Secret Believers, What Happens When Muslims Believe in Christ by Brother Andrew and Al Janssen—Fascinating look at Muslims coming to Christ in the Middle East.
- Choosing to See by Mary Beth Chapman with Ellen Vaugn—the true-life story of Stephen Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman and their family surrounding the loss of their young daughter Maria.
