Book News!

Some of this I may have shared in other places on social media, but I figured it was time to post it here too.

First – we have a new release! The Heart of a King is releasing April 30th! My launch team has been amazing and hard at work getting the word out. I thank God for them and for my assistant Amanda. My first copy of the book arrived yesterday. I was blown away by the back cover! I hadn’t seen the entire cover, only the front, until I held the book. Oh my. I LOVE this cover!

Speaking of this book – we are having a Facebook Launch party on May 1, 2019, so in three weeks! The party will be held right on my FaceBook Page, so click this link and it will take you there. The party is from 7-8 p.m. EDT. If you live in Arizona, please remember that Daylight Saving time. It makes a difference!

We will be giving away prizes to people who come and ask questions or comment. I will answer questions about any of my books, and I hope we can just have a great time chatting over the Internet.

Another book related announcement is that The Heart of a King has been nominated as a pick for Avid Readers of Christian Fiction – a closed group on FaceBook. It’s closed, but it’s not private. You can ask to join. Only members can vote for the book of their choice and only three books in different genres are chosen at a time, so The Heart of a King could really use your vote if you are a member or join to become a member of this book club.

Second – I have other book news that I mentioned on social media – and that is – I have signed another three-book contract with Revell for biblical novels! I will be writing about Joseph and Judah in the first book – and the women in their lives. The other two books are TBD – to be determined. I’m still pondering which two women to focus on as I’ve already written about so many! But that’s several years away.

I’ve also discovered that The Wives of King David are now all available in audio versions! My last copies came a week ago to complete the set. I’m so glad to see this series continue to bless readers. Most of you know this was the first series of my heart.

Right now I’m writing the second non-fiction book on biblical women, which is due in August. I’m also getting down the first draft of Miriam’s story, which is due next March.

And lastly – we have a title for Esther’s story, which will release in 2020. The title? Star of Persia. Don’t you just love it? I never – well almost never – come up with my own titles. Revell does such a good job of choosing covers and titles. I have enough trouble writing the books! When we have a cover for this one, I’ll be excited to see it and share it.

That’s it for now. I’m a little overwhelmed and thank God often for my assistant Amanda, as I said above. Writing is a lonely job but it’s also a team effort and I don’t know how I’d do this without that team.

Thanks especially to you, my readers. I am honored beyond measure to have you excited about new releases. And for your patience as you wait for me to write them. Thank you!

In His Grace,

~Jill
