February is one of my favorite months of the year. Can you believe that in a little over a week Dawn of Grace, Mary Magdalene’s Story is going to release? And Friday, yes, Valentine’s Day, is also my birthday, so I’m enjoying a little extra fun this week.
Here in Michigan, we are being told a BIG SNOW is coming tomorrow (Wednesday), Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday! I have claimed for years that it always snows on my birthday, which happens to be Friday, this week, so count me wrong this time. It’s just going to snow nearly every OTHER day of my birthday week! It even snowed on Valentine’s Day when we spent that time in Oregon one year. I mean, really? It almost never snows in Oregon. Perhaps it follows me??? Just kidding.
I have to admit that I love watching the snow fall, and what a perfect time to cozy up with a new book and read, yes? Of course, I can find a lot of reasons to read, so this winter blast is just an excuse this time.
Dawn of Grace has garnered a number of interviews so far with four or so to go. Tomorrow I’ll be on a podcast with JamieJo Wright of MadLit Musings. I always enjoy talking with Jamie. I’m not sure when the podcast will air, but my VA will try to get those posted when we know. Right now my social media is taking a sidetrack while Jessica (my VA) is recovering from an illness. Please keep her in your prayers.
For those of you who are new to my blog posts or not signed up for my newsletter, I’m going to give you a one time, only here, heads up. I’m going to post this link on social media, but only those who read it will see this announcement.
IF you are a regular newsletter or blog post subscriber, NEXT WEEK, you’ll be receiving notice of a contest just for you. I won’t be posting the contest on social media after today. This is to show my appreciation for my newsletter and blog post subscribers. And I really do appreciate you!

A few weeks ago, I turned in my next manuscript for the book that will release next year about the woman at the well. Her story is going to take us deeper into her life and imagine what it might have been like for her, set in the context of her culture. We know so little about her, but the few things we do know can tell us a lot if we look for it.
And now I’m in the process of studying for my next book, which is also about a little known woman who is rarely spoken about in sermons or told about in Sunday School, but I think she has a lot to teach us. I’ll talk about her more in the months to come. Right now, Mary Magdalene is my center focus, and I am so excited to share her story with you!
Remember, as you read it that my book is fiction based on a biblical story. I don’t change what Scripture says about her. I just tried to show what life might have been like for her in her culture and what it might have been like to be a female disciple/follower of Jesus. Mary, along with many other women of her day, were privileged to walk with the men as they followed in the dust of the Rabbi Jesus.
May we learn to love Him and be as devoted to Jesus Messiah as Mary was.

Thank you, Marie. God bless you too!
Hope you had a lovely birthday! There are so many women in the bible to admire. One which I happen to love dearly is Ruth, but we can’t mention her without Naomi can we?
Mary Magdalene!
My favorite would be the Woman at the well because as someone who loves going out telling others about Jesus, she was amazing because all she knew was that Jesus forgave her and gave her salvation and she ran home telling her whole town that she met Jesus and she knew they needed him too. Mary Magdalene was next because of everything she went through and Jesus forgave her, and she followed Jesus everywhere. There are to many to mention.
Congratulations on your new release! I love the cover. My favorite woman in the Bible would be Mary the mother of Jesus.
I love Biblical Fiction. The only Biblical fact is the Bible!
